Tourist & Visitor Visa for Denmark
Hassle-free visa processing for your travel needs.
Overview
A Tourist & Visitor Visa allows travelers to visit Denmark for short stays, including:
- Tourism
- Visiting family and friends
- Attending private events
If you are a citizen of a country that requires a visa, you must apply before your journey. Denmark must be your primary destination. If you enter another Schengen country first on a Danish visa or travel to another Schengen country without visiting Denmark, your visa may be revoked, and future Schengen visa applications may be affected.
Eligibility
A visa may be granted if the authorities determine that you:
- Intend to leave Denmark and the Schengen area before your visa expires.
- Meet all visa conditions, including proof of sufficient funds and accommodation.
- Have a history of compliance with previous Schengen visas, if applicable.
Certain individuals do not require a visa, such as:
- Holders of residence permits from another Schengen country.
- Family members of EU/EEA or Swiss citizens under free movement regulations.
- Specific categories of Turkish citizens traveling for work-related purposes.
All applications are reviewed individually, and additional documentation may be required based on personal circumstances.
Processing Time
- Applications should be submitted well in advance of travel.
- If your application is submitted less than 15 calendar days before travel, the embassy may deem it inadmissible and return your documents without processing.
- The standard processing time varies depending on individual cases and additional document requests.
